An elected Liberal Nationals Government will provide $5 million to rebuild Monbulk Police Station. The current station is old, tired and not meeting the needs of local police members and the community.
This upgrade will give police staff and the community modern facilities to work from, visit and assist in improving police services in Monbulk and other stations in the Dandenong Ranges, as well as improving occupational health and safety for sworn and non-sworn Victoria Police employees.
Daniel Andrews has failed the first test of government, to keep Victorians safe. A Liberal Nationals Government will change that.
Comments attributable to Leader of the Opposition, Matthew Guy:
“I will make Victoria safe again.
The hard-working men and women of Victoria Police deserve a modern, contemporary police station to enable them to perform their important work in keeping the local Monbulk community safe.”
Comments attributable to Shadow Minister for Police, Edward O’Donohue:
“The Monbulk community deserves to feel safe, yet under Daniel Andrews all they get are forgotten police stations and rising crime.
Daniel Andrews has lost control of law and order, only the Liberal Nationals will make Victoria safe by rebuilding and upgrading our police stations.”
Comments attributable to Liberal Candidate for Monbulk, John Schurink:
“It is vital that the Monbulk community has the resources it needs to fight crime and protect our communities when we need help the most and this new facility will provide that.
The current facilities in Monbulk are no longer acceptable for a station that not only provides police response here but also over a large area across the Dandenong Ranges.
These new facilities will improve the safety for all of our police men and women so they can continue to keep not only Monbulk, but all Victorians safe.”
